I've been going through a scrapbook of obituaries and funeral cards and found this article, more than likely from the Centerville Iowegian, date unknown.
If only Great Grandpa Morlan could have envisioned what his idea of a gas tax would turn into! He is quoted in the article as saying "He would spurn the use of an automobile for the purpose if he owned one. He says the exercise of walking is necessary to his good health".
